Urgent things first -
IAPS-CEMAST Scholarship in Basic & Advanced Laparoscopy
Please click the following link for details - the last date is 28th March - so hurry up.
Also there are laparoscopy courses available other than these.
PG-CMEs
Some of us attended the comprehensive MAMC PGMCE last week. Indeed the PGCMEs are excellent crash courses to prepare one for the exams.
We have requested the organisers to make the abstracts available to all.
I hope maximum people can make it to the Wadia (Mumbai) PGCME as it promises to be a clinical feast.
In June-July there is usually a CME in ICH, Chennai. We hope to get the details soon and make them available on the website.
Question Papers and Journal Articles
As the exam time nears for many of us, the demands for previous question papers is high! So many of our students have provided question papers. I have shared the folder with you called SIPS-private (its private for obvious privacy reasons and only you can use it).
Each of you has free access to this folder and can upload more articles and papers as you wish. Please do so as time permits.

Student Volunteers
So far almost all the students I know have been active at least once on either Whatsapp group or by Email and this is highly encouraging.
However we need some more people to -
1. Collect and maintain a database of all students. This may mean approaching students in various events and over phone or email to ensure that everyone in training across the country is part of our activities.
2. Help with the website. We need a more robust website with forums, chat. learning modules etc. and I am in the process of making one from scratch. Here is an example of the UK trainees website
IAPS Newsletter
Dr S. Ramesh, Secretary, IAPS has invited contributions from students for the IAPS newsletter
With this, there may not be a need for a separate newsletter for students as we had thought earlier.
Fellowships
There are now 4 different fellowships available after competing MCh/DNB.
As always, please send in your contributions by uploading onto Your Own Google Drive and sharing with me or by direct email.
All those who have promised question papers etc - I'm still waiting :-)
