Subject: Post-Doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Surgical Gastroenterology at Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS, Lucknow (www.sgpgi.ac.in).
The Dept. of Pediatric Surgery at Sanjay Gandhi PGIMS offers a 1-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Surgical Gastroenterology. The advertisement for the forthcoming July 2015 academic session is on the SGPGIMS website (www.sgpgi.ac.in). A copy of the advertisement and the information brochure is attached in PDF format. The last date for application is 20th May 2015. The eligibility is M.Ch. or DNB in Pediatric Surgery from an MCI recognized centre.
The department offers a focused clinical training in a wide spectrum & large volume of Pediatric GI surgical procedures. The thrust areas are as follows: pediatric biliary surgery (Biliary atresia, choledochal cysts, other unusual causes of biliary obstruction), surgery for portal hypertension, liver resections, esophageal replacement operations, surgical management of non variceal gastrointestinal bleed, specialized colorectal reconstructive surgery, pancreatic surgery, re-operative surgery, pediatric onco-surgery & minimally invasive surgery).
The fellowship would add value to the candidate’s teaching and research experience.
The institute has an infrastructure, work culture and salary structure at par with premiere central institutes like AIIMS (Delhi) and PGIMER (Chandigarh). The institute provides on campus accommodation to all trainees.
